|FIVE SLOTS STILL LEFT!|
|Only my favorite pieces are in my Featured folder. Please check my other folders for more art!|
Born on Good Friday in the Midwest, I grew up surrounded by forests and animals and thunderstorms that split the sky. Practically a wild-child, I survived mainly by crafting weapons out of sticks, making up characters to be my comrades, and adhering to a strict diet of cookies. After I grew up a little I relocated to New England to study illustration at RISD:CE. Three years later, I'm now in the Pacific Northwest, having moved to be close to mountains, good coffee, and a bigger writing/illustration community.
I have been writing for ten years, and creating art for about as long. My focus is on speculative fiction and graphic design-slanting illustrations that explore themes of relationships, self-exploration, snark, and a fascination for the natural world. Small talk kills me. I'll take my coffee black, thanks. Yes, the hair is real.
And in other news, Viridian is also a bombshell, though very much of the LBD-and-nothing-more variety. She’s usually in coveralls and leather with soal on her hands and grit in her teeth, BUT she also used to be the doll of Platinova City Boardwalk and her man can sing like a swinger, so... classy-ass formal portraits. His is next.
And yes, Viridian actually has long hair. Maaaybe not quite this long, but longer than it may seem the way she usually wears it. The sides are cut short to reduce the chances of it getting caught in her Visor or catching fire while she’s working, and she normally has it braided or slicked back in a bouffant so it fits nicely under her Visor and other gear. She lets it down on rare occasions, like when she’s impersonating a reporter, or feelin’ fancy.
Viridian and THE FIRE-KEEPER belong to me, Stacia Joy
